As the semester draws to a close, stress is heightened more than ever not only because of academic factors but also through our personal lives as well. With all of these stresses, one of the first things to fall through the cracks for a lot of people is their health and well-being.
Health covers our physical, social and mental welfare. Here are some tips that we got from students to consider during this stressful time for students:
- Incorporate incremental growth in your routine. Instead of drastically changing your diet, start having a couple pieces of fruit and veggies each day!
- Mental Health-Acknowledgement is key. As a bystander, if you see anyone struggling or it appears to be, lend out a hand and ask “Is there anything that I can do?” We are not mental professionals or experts, therefore it might feel like we cannot do much, but simple acknowledgement and willing to do what you can makes a huge difference.
- Join a social club or event that interests you on campus , or even better, off of campus! It is important and simply fun to meet new people to start making more exciting chapters in our lives.
