Welcome to Fall! We hope everyone is enjoying being back on-campus, and we want to highlight a few upcoming events to participate in during October whether that be for academics, personal well-being, or professional development.

Event Highlights

Generations Lost: Healing the Legacy of Residential Schools

The Faculty of Education is hosting two groundbreaking exhibits on the residential school system. The exhibits are presented in partnership with UBC Library and will be on display in the Irving K. Barber Learning Centre. Drop-in financial advising with the Indigenous Student Support Team

The UBC First Nations Longhouse is enthusiastic to be re-opening “in-person” advising for Indigenous students every Wednesday in October from 12:30-2:30pm. Questions regarding scholarships, bursaries, student tuition, student loans, among a variety of financial topics are welcome. Find out more here!

West Coast Virtual Fairs: Career, Volunteer, and Graduate Schools

Want to learn more about career opportunities and make connections with graduate school representatives from various industries? Check out this first-ever virtual event, open to all current students and alumni, happening from October 5th - October 7th. Choose what day or time works best for you and pop-in and out of sessions to develop networking strategies and even see what types of co-op employment is available in the work-force! Register here.
