Alumni UBC, in partnership with the UBC Equity & Inclusion Office, presents an opportunity to listen to alumni from various fields about how anti-Blackness and anti-Black racism manifest in our culture and society, and how that drives their own lives and the work that they do. The event is open to everyone, but registration is required.

A constellation of community organizers, scholars, and public intellectuals, along with key figures in government, health care, media, journalism, the corporate world and the not-for-profit sector will convene frank discussions about anti-Asian racism in our country with the aim of articulating bold and concrete recommendations for action.

This National Indigenous Peoples Day, reflect on whose land you occupy and how you can become more informed about Indigenous experiences.
- Use Native-Land.ca and explore a non-exhaustive list/map of Indigenous nations around the globe.
- X̱wi7x̱wa Library (pronounced "whei-wha") has created a variety of Research Guides, including their latest guide for Decolonization & Anti-Racism.
- Throughout June, X̱wi7x̱wa Library will be sharing resources and looking for resources to support Indigenous communities and nations, so stay in touch with them via their website, Twitter, and/or Facebook.

Course registration for the winter semesters is coming up! Are you ready?
- You'll receive an email about 1 week before your registration opens to let you know that your registration date is on the Student Services Centre (SSC). Learn more and check your degree/program’s registration dates for the winter, here.

Library Services Update: Goodbye EZproxy, Hello OpenAthens!
UBC Library is excited to announce that on June 2, 2021, we will launch a new way to log into electronic library resources including databases, journals, articles, and ebooks. OpenAthens, an identity-based authentication system, will provide access to the Library’s licensed online resources using single sign-on (SSO) technology, both on and off-campus. Learn more about what this means, here!
