July 5: Black Futures

- Description: As the final session of the series held by UBC, the three speakers: Ms. Celina Caesar-Chavannes, Ms. Donna E. Young and Dr. Wisdom Tettey, will draw from their rich and wide experiences and share their thoughts, insights, and advice on Black Futures.
July 15: A Future for Memories
- Date: July 15, 2021 | 6 – 7:30 PM PDT – Register
- Description: Join the Museum of Anthropology in a virtual conversation where guest speakers Atsunobu Katagiri and Fumihiko Futakami will discuss their personal experiences and involvement in the recovery process following the 2011 triple disaster. The session is pre-recorded in Japanese with English subtitles though there will be a live Q&A session at the end.

UBC recommends that you apply for your student loans by July 31st in order to allow your application to be processed and approved in time for the school year and tuition deadlines. Learn more about student loan applications in regards to UBC here.
Jump Start is a program specifically developed for incoming first year students that allows them to arrive and live on campus two weeks early. This allows for the students to get to know their classes, their peers, and to build friend groups before the school year begins to allow for an easier transition into university on-campus life. Yes! The Irving k Barber Learning Centre is still open for all current students, staff, faculty, and community members! Just make sure to sign up for a study room or space online, do your daily self assessment, and come check in at the desk right in front of the front door labeled ‘Enter Here’. (If you're a recent alumni or community member, come to the front desk to register your visit, as you cannot book online.)
