#ProfWalks Feb 6-9 in IKB

#ProfWalks in partnership with Move UBC

We have all heard the one about how life is more about the journey than the destination. This is often a lot easier said than done in life and at UBC once we are in the routine of running to classes, seminars, office hours and meetings – not to mention the rush to beat the queues on campus for coffee and food.

#ProfWalks is all about reminding us of the need to refocus on the journey, and taking the time to connect with our fellow scholars. Acting as the destination between 11 am and 1 pm, February 6-9th, the Coaching and Tutoring pavilion located on the third floor of the Irving K Library invites students and faculty to connect over free coffee- on the condition that students invite and are accompanied by a prof, or vice versa, on a #ProfWalk prior to their arrival. The journey you take together to the destination is up to you!

As part of Move UBC, #ProfWalks further reminds us all; students, faculty and staff of the importance of getting up out of our seats and being less sedentary and connecting with others on UBC’s journey.

This is a brilliant initiative, making it easier for students to reach out to their professors and giving them the opportunity to talk in an informal setting.
