Summary of the teaching method:
Video time capsule of lectures through YouTube Channel! View them on her Econ 101 course website.
Will this help me?
Yes and no!
Yes, because reviewing is definitely a huge benefit for anyone preparing for exams. I personally prefer learning with both visual AND auditory senses involved, and with the videos, this will definitely save me some time and help avoid falling asleep on textbooks.
On the other hand, I fear this might cause me to be lazy and not go to class. I mean, why go to class when I have the exact same lecture online? Of course, the professor can include attendance in assessing the final grade for motivation to participate in class but in terms of pure student learning, this can definitely create a sense of procrastination. It requires a high level of self discipline on my part.
What can I do to thrive?
Video resources are great to study from but they are no substitute for being in class and learning from others. The temptation to skip class is real, but so is my grade.
