AngusAngus is a 2nd year Arts student, planning a major in English and Art History. In his spare time, Angus loves to sleep, read, and roam Vancouver in search of the best Pho. He greatly enjoys converting files into PDFs and refilling the printer paper supply, and will gladly do either for you (plus much more) if asked nicely! |

GabrielHailing originally from a little town in southwest Germany, Gabriel spent his childhood growing up between Europe and Asia. He arrived in Vancouver in 2008 and is now in his 4th and final year of his Philosophy/Economics degree. When not working at the CLC help desk or desperately trying to stay on top of his schoolwork he can usually be found discussing the finer points of 90s Hip-Hop, playing soccer, and obsessing over his iPhone. |

GillianHi UBC! My name is Gillian Corbo and I am in my 3rd year in the Faculty of Kinesiology. I’ve always had a passion for improving learning, and this position with the Chapman Learning Commons helps me do just that. The Chapman Learning Commons allows me to directly connect with students to share the experience I’ve gained from my time at UBC. When I’m not working, you can find me mentoring first year students, playing soccer, being creative in the kitchen, or traveling. |

JeffA guy in his mid-30′s entering year one of his BA. Crazy? Most definitely. Excited and motivated? Yes!!! I am planning on majoring in Psychology and possibly going on to get a Masters in Clinical Psych… but I have a lot of time to figure that out. I used to be a Graphic Designer/Animator and still love to follow design and I am also into photography and obsessed with music. The Chapman Learning Commons is my sanctuary, the only place on Campus I am totally at peace… I have a hard time studying anywhere else! |

MattHey there. I’m a 2nd year marketing student at UBC’s Sauder School of Business. A major follower of the hockey world (and the Canucks) and the consumer electronics industry, I spend an embarrassing amount of time on social media networks finding and sharing articles in these areas. I hone my ever-growing camera skills as a project photographer for the Commerce Undergraduate Society. I’m a big believer in a growing, a curious mind, and being a part of the Learning Commons staff allows me to help my fellow students learn. |

MatthewHi! I’m currently a 1st year Pharmacy student. Some hobbies of mine include tennis, staring at pretty signs, and looking at pictures of Ron Swanson. When I’m not taking naps at the various locations on campus, you can find me staffing the help desk at the Chapman Learning Commons, or doing things for the UBC Tennis Club and UBC Smiling Over Sickness. Aside from being an amazing space for learning and finding resources, the Chapman Learning Commons by far has the comfiest chairs on campus! |

MichelleI am a second year science student specializing in global health and Southeast Asian studies. I have been involved with the UBC chapter of UAEM and the Wellness Centre’s rapid HIV testing campaign. Chapman Learning Commons is my favourite student space on campus – not only do you feel like you’re at Hogwarts, the academic resources helped me tremendously when I was a first-year student. I look forward to seeing you all! |

RaminHeyaa! I’m in my 3rd year of Civil Engineering at UBC. Contrary to what you may expect from engineering stereotypes, my favourite part about the job isn’t anything technical: I simply love helping and interacting with people… Crazy isn’t it!? Drop by and say hi |

SamI am polishing off my final semester as an Economics and Political Science student at UBC. I have been working in the Chapman Learning Commons and website for over year, and have loved every minute of it (even battling the printer!) When I am not plowing through wave after wave of papers, presentations and projects, I am escaping to Whistler, the beach or engrossed in a plethora of side-projects; consistently getting 26 hours out of every day. I step two at a time and still manage to stop and smell the coffee (or maybe it’s because I stop for coffee?) |
